If there is a campaign currently running with a focus on "install volume" with the “most likely to perform an in-app event” setting (“signups” for now”). What is the best way to test the campaign with a focus on the in-app event itself?

  1. Just change the focus from "install volume" to "most important action" -> can't really compare performance anymore, hard to come back if it doesn't work
  2. Duplicate it first to keep the campaign with "install volume" focus and be able to compare? -> will the duplicated "install volume" keep the same performance?
  3. Duplicate the campaign and change the focus to "in-app event" in the new duplicated campaign? -> wouldn't that just throw the algo off (in a brand new learning phase) because there is no conversions for the in-app event in this new campaign?
